Chad Lawrence
Chad is the Managing Partner at Base Legal, and he plays an active role in the firm’s Litigation and Commercial Departments.
He holds a Bachelors of Law (LL.B) degree from the University of the West Indies where he graduated with honours and was admitted into practice in 2018 after graduating from the Norman Manley Law School and obtaining his Legal Education Certificate (LEC).
Chad’s love for advocacy has seen success with impressive victories at the Civil and Criminal Bar at both the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal. In addition to his litigation practice, Chad practices in a variety of areas in law such as Employment, Family, Personal Injury, Commercial, Intellectual Property, Debt Recovery, Conveyancing and Probate Estate Administration.
Chad has served in the past in a voluntary capacity such as being a member of the board of directors for the Wolmer’s Preparatory School and the First Instance Body of the Jamaica Football Federation.
He continues to volunteer in mentorship programs for troubled youth.
Chad is also a member of the Jamaica Bar Association.
Vyktor Drum
Vyktor Drum is a Partner at Base Legal and the Chief Legal Officer for Dequity Capital Management Limited.
He has a Bachelor’s of Law (LL.B), from the University of the West Indies and a Legal Education Certificate from Norman Manley Law School.
With experience in a wide range of civil law areas, including Corporate and Commercial Law, Company Law, Conveyancing, Real Estate Law, and Employment and Labour Law - including Restrictive Covenant Discharge and Civil litigation - he brings a focused and disciplined approach to his work.
He was awarded the NCB Nation Builder Award in 2016, and he is a member of the Jamaica Bar Association.
With his strong research skills, keen attention to detail, and analytical thinking, he is committed to leveraging his expertise to contribute to the growth and success of organizations, helping them achieve their goals.
